Irish Silliness

I saw a man kick a house the other day. There's a house at the end of 3 Pub Alley that is being renovated. They just finished hanging beautiful cedar doors and windows. As I was walking to work the other morning I saw a man kick the corner of the house. Like he was kicking the tires on a used car, kicked the house. He was standing there looking in the windows, scowling a bit, and then he leaned back a bit and kicked the house. Then he saw me and looked really embarassed. It made me giggle I have to admit. I see very odd things on a regular basis. No idea why I'm privy to such things. I was watching a tv newscast one night in Sweden (watching, not listening to) where they were interviewing the prime minister or something. Everyone was engrossed in what she was saying. I was noticing that 1- she was wearing jeans and trainers to her press conference and 2- They stood her up against a wall with sconces that, at that angle, looked like antlers.

two comments on this one:
A.You kick the corners of a used house to make sure the doors don't pop open, especially if they are recently hung... I thought everyone knew that.
and 2. "trainers" you just refered to sneakers, tennis shoes, "digs", as the more UK appropriate "Trainers". do you sport an accent now?

no accent, sorry. But I call my cell phone a mobile (prounounced mo-beye-l and feel like a poser calling it a cell) Such changes wrought in so little amount of time...
