From the Random Files

I had amazing bus karma today. I woke up late and scurried out of the house, resigning myself to taking the 8:45 bus which puts me at work at 9:20, cursing and lecturing myself the entire 2.5 minute trip to the bus stop. Just as I reached the end of 3 Pub Alley I spied the 8:30 bus pulling up, which I'd assumed I'd missed because it was on time. ON TIME! If it shows up at all, it's either 10 minutes early or 10 minutes late. It's rarely on time. When the bus stopped and opened it's doors, I was centered in the opening. (insert choir of angels here) Needless to say, cursing and lecturing revoked followed by many uplifting phrases along the lines of "God wanted you to be on this bus" and "No one will notice the skirt". When I alighted (new word for me, loving it) to make my second connection, I looked up to see the 8:45 bus just pulling up to the curb to load passengers. I ran across the street and boarded the bus, thus getting to work at 8:55. No time for coffee, but that's just fine by me. Ok, I didn't pack a lunch and I didn't get a chance to iron my skirt, but still, for starting the day by over-sleeping I did pretty good. But now that I've bragged, it's going to take me 3 hours to get home. Ah well... No one cares what time I get home.

You lucky girl. I think all that beer is making you sluggish. But then again, it's beer. Decisions, decisions!
