Project Supervisor

As I walked to work on this very sunny and threateningly springlike day, I passed by two men working on laying new paving stones on the foot path. (that's Irish for sidewalk) As I usually do, my head turned so I could watch what they were doing, observing construction is the best way to learn. Obviously they aren't used to being watched, I thought to myself as they both watched me watching them. Then I saw their supervisor. A neighborhood mutt, sitting quietly nearby, watching with great interest. He reminded me of an old man, stopping on his morning walk to observe and comment because he finds retirement more than he can bear after a lifetime of work.

Nicely observed. :)

I was also interested by "threateningly springlike". Ominous undertones? Mind you, since Spring brings even more roadworks, fair enough.

Thank you. Glad to have you back and commenting.

"threateningly" because the weather turns on a dime here. In the space of a few hours it can change from bright and sunny to overcast to rainy to bright again and finally on to sleeting. Never trust the Irish Weather, that's the moral of my story.
